The new residence Casa Vapor Gran Mutua Terrasa, chose Altro Aquarius safety floor for all bathrooms and showers facilities, providing additional safety and comfort for residents.
The group, which already has a dozen centres for the elderly, built the new residence and day centre at the old hotel Casa Vapor Gran, which was fully remodeled to suit the specific needs of residents.
With an area of 5,800m², Casa Vapor Gran is an efficient and modern seven-storey building, located in the centre of Terrassa. The residence can accommodate 131 residents and 20 places in the day care centre and enjoys a high level of services.
It’s a nursing home, with personalised attention and a family atmosphere, with a great team of mutlidisiplinary professionals.
“We needed a floor for the bathroom that was slip-resistant and would allow easy cleaning. We did not want floors with excessive roughness that would allow dirt to get stuck and hinder cleaning,” said Isabel Reneses, the centre’s director.
520m² of Altro Aquarius were installed in bathrooms and showers. Safety, aesthetics, ease of cleaning and comfort are the qualities the management was looking for to make maintenance easy and to ensure the comfort of residents.
Isabel Reneses explains: “Altro Aquarius is an elegant and comfortable floor in both dry and wet environments, avoiding the typical rough floors of adapted bathrooms.”
As for the advantages of Altro Aquarius when cleaning and servicing, Reneses said: “The housekeeping staff is grateful not to have to deal with uneven surfaces and having to devote more time to keep it in perfect condition; an additonal benefit is you do not need special products for maintenance.”
Isabel Reneses concludes: “Altro Aquarius is a floor that is aesthetically pleasing and meets all the requirements we need to keep our residents safe. I would absolutely recommend it for this type of installation.”
